All Parents Should Own A Video Camera

I think that every parent needs to have a video camera. Pictures are great for memories, but you don't get to hear and see all of the fun things you kids did by pictures alone. I have been lucky enough to be close to my sister's family and see my adorable nephew grow up. I even lived with them for about 6 months when I first moved to town. My nephew was about 1 1/2 at that time. I'm sure that many little kids do this, but it sticks out in my head more than anything. He used to slide down the stairs on his belly and he would giggle uncontrollable. I never forget the sound of that giggling. At least I hope I don't. Of course, he grew out of that, but I wish we had that on camera. Then we could listen to it and he could watch it now that he's older. Another thing that I absolutely loved was his singing. It was probably between 2 to 3 years old and one of the songs he would sing was "Ooh Eeh Ooh Ah Aah Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang". He had trouble with the W's and it seemed like he'd add an extra syllable or an extra walla. I can't remember for sure, but it was the cutest thing in the world. If only these moments were caught on tape. You think, I'll get it on video next time. Kids grow so fast and before you know it they grow out of these phases.
